Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information JELSCO collects when you visit jelsco.com or buy from us, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. JELSCO sells backlit LED house numbers and is run by Jelinski Estates LLC in Colorado, United States.

What we collect

When you order: your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address, what you bought, and payment details. Payments are processed by Shopify and the payment providers you choose at checkout (cards, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal). We never see or store your full card number.

When you contact us or ask for a quote: what you send us, such as your email address, your address or building details, photos, and the details of the quote. Commercial quotes are saved so the order link in your quote email keeps working until the quote expires.

When you sign up for email: your email address and whether you agreed to hear from us.

When you answer our optional survey after checkout ("How did you first hear about us?"): your answer.

When you browse: information your browser sends automatically, such as your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you view, the site or search that brought you here, and cookies. This comes from Shopify and from the tools listed below.

How we use it

  • To process, ship and support your order, including returns and warranty claims.
  • To answer your questions and send the quotes or designs you ask for.
  • To send marketing email, only if you signed up. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
  • To understand how the site is used and whether our advertising works, so we can improve both.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the services that help us run the store, and only what they need:

  • Shopify, which hosts the store and checkout (Shopify privacy policy).
  • Payment providers you choose at checkout, such as Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal.
  • Shipping carriers (USPS, UPS and DHL), which receive your name, address and phone number to deliver your order or a return.
  • Google: Google Analytics, to measure how the site is used, and Google Ads and Merchant Center, to show our products and measure our ads (Google privacy policy).
  • Google Cloud, which runs the service that emails commercial quotes.
  • Amazon, if you buy from us on Amazon. Those orders are covered by Amazon's own privacy notice.

We may also share information when the law requires it, to respond to a valid legal request, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Google Ads uses information about visits to this site to show our ads, which some US state laws treat as "sharing" for advertising. You can opt out as described below.

Cookies and advertising choices

Cookies keep your cart working and help us measure the site and our ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the store still works, but your cart may not be remembered. To limit ad personalization:

Browsers that send a Global Privacy Control signal are treated as opting out of ad sharing where the law requires it. We do not otherwise respond to "Do Not Track" signals.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them for warranties, returns, taxes and accounting, generally seven years. Expired commercial quotes are deleted automatically. You can unsubscribe from email at any time, and you can ask us to delete your information as described below.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of advertising use. To make a request, email info@jelsco.com. We may need to confirm it is you, usually by matching your email address and order number, and we will respond within the time the law allows. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Canada, you have similar rights, and your information is processed in the United States.

Security

Checkout and payments run on Shopify's secure, encrypted systems. No method of storing or sending information online is completely secure, but we limit who can access your information to what is needed to run the store.

Children

The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
